Way of Remembering 2025

Way of Remembering 2025 will officially be taking place from Jan 4 - 14 in Akbannakin the home of the TADO Kingdom located on the Togo-Benin border. We will be able to experience an immersion into African spirituality and feel a connection to the transcendental spiritual power found at the source of humanities oldest civilization. It is here that we will be guided through ceremonies of purification and communion and be able to participate in the mission to bring healing to humanity.

The Way of Remembering is a pilgrimage designed to bring healing, harmony, and restoration of our humanity through a process of re-humanization. During this pilgrimage, participants are able to participate and experience a direct spiritual and ancestral connection through prayer, divination, ceremony, and transcendence at the sacred site of the Door of Return hosted by His Majesty Meto Ahoussan IX and the Holy city of Akbanankin.

2021 Way of Remembering Pilgrimages

The 2021 WOR pilgrimage was accentuated by the coronation of the King, Prometra’s President, Dr. Erick V. Gbodossou. Being able to participate in just a fraction of Dr. Gbodossou’s coronation as His Majesty Meto Ahoussan IX, was humbling. Not because of the pomp and circumstance of “royalty”, but because of the calling of our collective ancestors have placed on his life. The calling and the mission, to heal humanity, restore African Sovereignty, and welcome the African diaspora back home.

2019 Way of Remembering

The 2019 International’s Way of Remembering Pilgrimage into African Spirituality in the Republic of Benin. This exciting, hands-on participatory immersion into the culture, spirituality, and history of Benin will take place from January 5 to 16, 2019. The anchor event of the pilgrimage is the Republic of Benin’s National Holiday to Commemorate the System of Voodoo which is celebrated with a national holiday on January 10th.
